Writing

HoneyMag

Trend Report Article & Editorial Shoot

IMG_1717.jpeg

Four months ago, I pitched the idea of creating a jewelry trend report for Honey Mag - The first edition of the college publication, wanting to explore the evolving relationship between fashion, styling, and contemporary jewelry design. What began as an initial concept developed into a full published column, allowing me to research emerging trends and translate them into both written and visual storytelling. Seeing the idea grow from a pitch into a completed feature was incredibly rewarding, especially as I was able to not only write the report but also creatively direct the accompanying editorial shoot featuring jewelry created by myself and my peers.

Over the following months, the concept evolved into a published feature for the first edition of Honey Mag, where I had the opportunity to write a jewelry trend report exploring emerging directions within fashion and adornment. The report examined themes such as sculptural maximalism, layered styling, and the rise of expressive, statement-driven jewelry within contemporary fashion. Alongside writing the column, I also creatively directed the accompanying editorial shoot, collaborating closely on styling, composition, and image direction to visually translate the ideas explored in the piece. What made the project especially rewarding was being able to showcase jewelry created entirely by myself and my peers, highlighting the creativity, craftsmanship, and individuality within our community.

Chain Reaction The Blog

Chain Reaction is a jewellery and fashion trend blog that explores the evolving relationship between personal style, accessorising, and runway influence. With a focus on styling and emerging trends, the platform breaks down how high fashion translates into everyday wear, highlighting the details, combinations, and statements that define contemporary jewellery. It follows the movement of trends from the runway into real life, positioning jewellery as one of the most powerful tools for self-expression and storytelling.

Every aspect of Chain Reaction is independently created and curated by me, reflecting my perspective as both a designer and storyteller. My process begins at the bench, where I experiment with materiality, form, and craftsmanship to develop tangible pieces that deepen my understanding of trends from both a technical and visual standpoint. I then photograph each piece, carefully considering composition, lighting, and styling to convey both detail and mood. These insights evolve into written content that translates runway influences into accessible ideas, while the website itself is designed to be clear, engaging, and easy to navigate. By combining making, styling, photography, writing, and digital design, Chain Reaction becomes a cohesive platform that connects process, product, and perspective in an inspiring and approachable way.
