About
Welcome to my jewellery portfolio. My name is Kristy Scott McGuire, a British jewellery design student currently studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I previously completed my education at Epsom College, where I developed a strong foundation in academic discipline, research and creative thinking.
Alongside my studies, I have gained valuable industry experience interning at the London headquarters Tommy Hilfiger, which deepened my understanding of fashion-led design and professional practice. This experience continues to inform my approach, allowing me to consider jewellery not only as an object, but as an integral part of a wider fashion narrative.
Beyond jewellery, I have a strong passion for writing and story telling, I am particularly drawn to the idea of translating a product to evoke a feeling or emotion with the viewer in doing so I create narratives for all of my creative work using both mediums, photography and jewellery. Most recently, I wrote a jewellery trend report article for the college publication HoneyMag, including an editorial shoot.
Recently I have been appointed as the secretary of the college jewellery club, Im excited to begin working with such a talented team. I am an enthusiastic public speaker having completed my LAMDA credited awards and Lanes performing arts courses in England. Furthermore, I have debated with the philosophy society and about to complete my SCAD AMP advanced certificate.
