Bench Work
As a bench jeweller studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design, my work is grounded in a strong foundation of technical skill, material understanding, and hands-on craftsmanship. Working at the bench allows me to translate conceptual ideas into tangible pieces, refining my approach through processes such as soldering, stone setting, and finishing. This practical experience not only strengthens my attention to detail and precision but also informs my design decisions, ensuring that each piece is both aesthetically considered and structurally sound. Being immersed in SCAD’s creative environment pushes me to continuously experiment, develop my own design language, and bridge the gap between traditional jewellery techniques and contemporary fashion-led concepts.
